What happens at the start of a film

What is a teen film?

Teen films is a film genre targeted at teenagers and young adults in which the plot is based upon the special interests of teenagers, such as coming of age, first love, rebellion, conflict with parents, teen angst or alienation.

What happens at the start of a film?

At the start of a film the first thing the audience see is the title which shows who the production company is, producers, cast, distributers etc.

During the start of a film occasionally music is played during the opening credits, this music usually reflects the movie and what it is about. Additionally some films have a voice who introduces the film or speaks from his or hers point of view about scenarios that occur in the film.
At the start of some films the audience may see the ending of the previous sequel showing clips of the original film so viewers are reminded of what happened before. An example of a film that does this is 'The Best Man' and 'The  Best Man Holiday'.

Furthermore the main characters are usually introduced at the start of a film, as they are usually the main focus and the person that camera is usually with throughout the film. This is usually due to the fact the the audience is usually on a journey with the character from start to finish.
