Shot by shot remake comparison with original
This is my groups adaptation of the breakfast club teen movie:This is the original breakfast club opening:
Comparing my groups adaptation with the original:
My groups adaptation of the breakfast is pretty good, the start of the movie is exactly the same as the original movie and the soundtrack is also the same. The names of the characters in the movie is also the same as the original which makes it more realistic and easier to understand compared with using totally different names. We also used the same quote by David Bowie in the movie.
The first shot of the college in the breakfast club is exactly the same as our film but instead, we used a picture of our college which we found on google search. we also had a voice over by one of my groups members who said the date of which was originally said in the breakfast club opening. The second shot we used shots of the college gates and the building connected to the college which was similar to the original breakfast club opening which consisted of shots of the corridor, canteen and the clock, this was used to keep the film as original as possible.
The third shot consisted of more shots of the corridor and moving shot of a car from the number plate to the windshield. We also added a shot of the library to further prove that we was in the college and make it seem more entertaining. The forth scene was of the dad and the daughter in the car and the daughter existing the vehicle to go to school and the dad wishing her luck in her education, This relates to the original film with the daughter telling her dad she is going to school. The fifth scene is over the daughter leaving the vehicle again but this time her father was slightly angery and also there was a boy leaving the car in the same scene with his mum telling to get out the car in a rude manner.
However in the final scene, we did not capture the bit where all the students entered the hall to sit down and the boy who was told to move from his sit by a bully so he could sit down.
