travelling and arriving

Travelling can be shown is different ways in a movie, for example in fast and furious 6, Roman is seen in a G5 gulfstream flying at cruising altitude towards a party and arriving in time and style. This is one way of showing of travelling and arriving in a movie. Fast and furious is centred on speed and the love of tuned cars.

Looking at my group’s short teen movie, it is possible to include scenes which use: vehicles, trains, bicycle and maybe even a sports car which all can be used a props to enhance the film and make it more teen like.

When I analysed the Breakfest Club opening, the first character enters the seen sitting in the front of a BMW car with her father of the other side. The director used midshots on the father and the female. The female is portrayed as full of her and spoilt by the way she speaks and her body language towards the audience. The second character is shown using a jumpcut of the son, the mother and the young daughter all sitting in the front of the vehicle with little to no space to move. The way the mother spoke and her tone seemed that she was not happy and also the vehicle was in terrible condition. The third character is revealed in a close up shot of the dad and son sitting the front car seats, the jacket worn by the character could suggest he is popular in his school and really enjoys football. Finally the last character is shown in a longshot walking across the road and nearly getting run over by a vehicle. This props the character used was earphones and sunglasses and could suggest that he is a hazard to everyone do to his ‘carelessness'
